the current plot of the four clans of the forest
When we last left the warrior cats of the forest, the collapse of Moonstone had led to a disconnect with StarClan. Cats who once fervently believed in StarClans guidance began to lose faith and those already with wavering confidence began to fall apart. The Four Clans desperately sought to connect with their ancestors again -- be it finding a way to clear the Moonstone of the rocks in their way or finding a new place entirely to get in touch.
After moons passed of searching with no avail, the clans slowly became less and less interested in resolving their StarClan problem and more concerned with clan relationships. The absence of StarClan in their lives had left leaders retaining their warrior prefixes and prevented them from gaining nine lives to protect their clans justly. The clans guarded their leaders carefully and gradually became extremely distrustful and suspicious of the other clans.
When a previously confined WindClan rabies outbreak wormed its way into RiverClan and killed their young and capable Deputy, Webbedsoul, RiverClan accused WindClan of purposefully planting the disease in their camp. As common in the clan's history, ShadowClan took RiverClan's side and ThunderClan took WindClan's -- thus effectively pitting all four clans against one another.
Fighting, for one reason or another, has become strikingly common. Will finding StarClan again resolve the clan's animosity towards one another?

ONLY TIME WILL TELL.
