AGE! 18 moons
RANK! Warrior
GENDER! Tom
CLAN! RiverClan
SHORT DESC.!
A tall tan colored tom with creamy flecks, large ears and cornflower blue eyes.
FULL DESCRIPTION!
This young warrior has a short but thick pelt with a beautiful putty-tan tone. He has creamy-sandwisp fleck across the entire length of his pelt. The mouth of hiz muzzle, his stomach, tail-tip and hind toes have a similar sandwisp color to them. His cheeks have an amazing oddity with
tabby marks of the same sandwisp. His ears are large for his head, tipped with a murky brown yuma, and colored internally with a creamy ronchi. His wide, open eyes are cooly mized with linkwater and cornflower blue. This long tail if fluffed compared to his svelte form.
PERSONALITY!
Briarstorm used to be very self-secluded when it comes to being home in his own clan. However, he's grown to be more described as polite and zealous. He is seen smiling and addresses his peers and even enemies kindly. He doesn't openly look down on anyone, nor chastises them; yet he is prepared to kill when given order from his leader.
Yet he has a bad habit and tries to show an amount of apathy and indifference to the family's and siblings around him, doing his best to hide what could very well be jealousy. He does what he can to reach out to the cats of other clans, hoping to make friendships where they shouldn't exactly lie. He is, however, determined to be the greatest warrior he can, though he knows he may not be the best trusted during battle. In the end, he wants to take on an apprentice of his own to train in the ways showing not everything has to lead to violence and friendships can save a fight.
While his loyalty to his clan and the Warrior Code can be questionable at time, when he's left to think on his own, he is staring at Silverpelt, leaving no cat to doubt his belief in Starclan. Thanks to this toms joy of befriending others, he loves going to Gatherings to meet cats from other clans and to swap stories in hope of finding similarities. He doesn't seem to mind the job of helping the elders even as a warrior, hoping that there will be a story told there as well of times that battles weren't the best idea, and peace came to the forest. With these stories in his heart, he loves the night, knowing he can look up and see his ancestors, and he questions what their lives had been like.
Due to his attempts of befriending other clans, this warrior isn't a
huge fan of the thought of going to war. He wonders if the clans should have ever been separated at all, and with his nervousness, he doesn't enjoy boarder patrol, wondering if his fear-scent is left behind. With this, he hopes his clan doesn't seem weak. He does his best to spend little time in camp, not wanting to hear the mewling of kits, see the happiness of mates, or the joy of having a sibling to play with.
Thanks to this toms coat, he doesn't seem to get as cold or bothered by being wet as some others might. His large ears and svelte toned body help him even hunt well on the land. His belief in peace drives him to train hard in what he believes he should train in, and helps him continue staying near his clans side.
Most cats can see this toms wavering belief in battle, and without his acknowledgment of it, it is indeed a weakness. His dislike of being in camp makes him seem cold when in reality he is just lonely. All in all, he gives off the waves of a cat who is lost and confused, causing him trouble more often than not.
HISTORY!
Briarpaw was born to a litter of three at the end of new-leaf to a proud warrior Purpleblaze and a kind queen called Waterpath. He was the oldest of the litter, and the only tom. As leaf-fall started to show its cruel claws, his sisters Puddlekit and Grasskit, decided to explore outside of camp while Briarpaw and his mother had been sleeping. The she-kits were soon noticed missing. Terrified of what could happen, Purpleblaze and his apprentice Stormpaw rushed out of camp to find Briarpaw's litter-mates, and split up. Stormpaw saw the she-kits climbing near the gorge. Panicked, the small gray tom ran to them, causing all three of the young cats to fall over the edge.
Purpleblaze had witnessed what happened at a distance, too far to
prevent the accident. When he returned home with the horrible news, Waterpath started to spiral into a depression.
As her immune system slowed, and leaf-bare came, the tortoiseshell she-cat caught green cough and soon thew illness worsened. Briarpaw was one moon away from becoming an apprentice when he lost his mother. The next moon, however, three days before he was known as Briarpaw, the young tom lost
his father. The dark brown tom with a cream paw had gone out with a
patrol the day before to scare a badger off. A bad blow caused him to be
dragged back to camp to the medicine cat. Broken ribs pierced organs,
and soon the tom died a painful death by the next morning. Sure he was
doomed to be alone, the kit refused to return to the warmth of a den
until he had become an apprentice.
Growing older as a warrior, he slowly allowed himself to let things go. He knew better than to allow himself to blame any of the deaths on himself. However, he still couldn't find himself comfortable around those who were allowed to have the close bonds of the family he lost. He may shy away, but he is there when trouble happens to offer any help he can. He doesn't like the thought of someone being alone in their time of need for comfort. Briarstorm is growing into a strong warrior with his own sense of justice against violence and abandonment.
