Starclan deserted the clans in their greatest hour or need, or so they believe. Generations pass and the cats that were once again forced out of their home by the lake have settled, but something is different. Histories forgotten, ancestors turned aside. These are not the four clans anymore, these are not the cats that worship Starclan. No, Starclan forgot.
New beliefs and teachings have risen through the new clans, as each find their own deity to respect and love. Slowly the changes occur, new names and new rituals.
Flightclan formerly Windclan, held the belief that it was the sky and the aspect of freedom that granted them life. They ran as ever on the wild moors and mountains, as swift and fleet of foot as the wind itself. They honored the birds they ate and the song of the wind through the mountain passes. Starclan was lost to them.
Streamclan formerly known as Riverclan worshiped the waters and the constant flow of life. They believed that change and the coming and passing of life was natural and were at peace with it. They swam and loved the water as if it were the mother that had birthed them.
Gladeclan, the past Thunderclan, honored the seasons and the weather. They believed the turn of the tide and the changing of the months was what watched over them. They began to hear the song of life in the forest, and they listened. In turn, the spirits in the trees and leaves granted them their wisdom and strength.
It was Shadowclan that remained the same. They were the only clan not to change in faith, not to turn from their long ago ancestors. They kept their original names and heritage, telling of Starclan to their kits and kin. They believe that their ancestors continue to watch over them, and perhaps they do indeed, for Shadowclan never were the type to give in.
In this new era of tribes and clans, who will you worship?
