AGE! 8 moons
GENDER! she-cat
TYPE! rogue - azreal's angel
SHORT DESC.! a flat-nosed silky black she-cat with yellow eyes
FULL DESCRIPTION!
Sporting the squat face of her mother and father, Crescendo is a persian cat through and through. Though some cats might think differently of her mug, she was raised in a way that makes her feel immensely proud of her features. Her face is round and full, ears are round things at the top -- even her eyes are incredibly rounded out. To be honest she looks as though she belongs in the lap of a twoleg than prowling about the wild world.
Her coat is so thick that even when she's hungry it's difficult to ever notice. She gets very hot, particularly in the summer time when the dark color of her pelt seems to sap in all the heat from Greenleaf. Because of this she is prone to growing particularly tired and sometimes ill if she over-exerts herself in the sunlight.
Because of breeding that lovely snub nose of hers, she also has a tad trouble when it comes to breathing. Wheezing is not something unfamiliar to the she-cat, and when she gets colds they tend to be awful -- and that's not even mentioning the fact that she snores as she sleeps.
To accompany her squat and more on the broad-side stature, Crescendo has wide and heavily furred paws. Most of her seems to be set on more the wide side, and it takes her a month and a half to get herself clean it seems like. She does her best, unless she's feeling ill, to keep her pelt in pristine condition. Wouldn't want to disappoint her mother and all that.
PERSONALITY!
Crescendo is, first and foremost, still a relatively young cat. She views the world through a tinted lens, seeming to find the best in most everyone and everything. Her abundant joy at just being alive can either be uplifting or massively obnoxious, depending on the cat that you're speaking to. When bad things happen Crescendo tends to act confused, as she struggles with situations involved with sorrow to the point that she'd rather hurl herself into a massive pit of denial than to face it head on.
When it comes to matters of heartbreak, she's a coward. Friends, family or even acquaintances that die will throw her off her paws and cause her to simply act as if they've left -- disappeared or maybe went to travel the world. She'll lie to herself, she'll lie to other cats, but good lord is it hard to get the girl to face the matter head on.
She's bold and tends to treat life with a devil-may-care sort of attitude -- to say that Crescendo seems to think herself immortal in her young age would be an understatement. Death is something she refuses to accept completely, so why would she think she could possibly die? This can make the she-cat reckless, and quick to rush into a situation with her tail held high and her eyes glimmering in a friendly way.
Don't, for the love of god, let her near the Thunderpath.
Crescendo is, to be a little honest, a bit of a twit. She's not the most intelligent cat in the world, though she certainly does her best to make up with it with her good demeanor and bright attitude. She has an open and warm heart, and is ready to make friends with most any cat she comes across. Prejudice is something massively foreign to her, and no matter what boundaries may lie between her she's prone to becoming best buds (in her own mind if nothing else) with random cats.
A bit stupid she may be, but Crescendo is loyal to those she calls friends (every single one of them). She may not think that bad things can happen before and after they can occur, but she's as fierce as a mother bear when it comes to devoting herself to keeping her friends safe during a bad thing happening. She's devoted, great for keeping a secret that needs to be kept, and would rip off her own tail before she stabbed a cat in the back. In the same aspect, however, she expects her friends to treat her in the same way and can easily be used since she will convince herself over and over that they mean the best.
Her enthusiasm for the causes she believes in are unfounded. She's utterly fascinated with cultures of others, and the unknown is something that draws her completely. Her curiosity could be said to be the one that coined the phrase "curiosity killed the cat".
HISTORY!
Born under the porch of her mother's housefolk, Crescendo started her life with the sound of music pouring from the windows. Her mother was owned by musicians, hence the lovely name. Even so, her birth was kept secret from the twolegs -- her mother wasn't quite supposed to have kittens, but she escaped one night and returned in secret.
Crescendo's mother didn't like her much -- or maybe it wasn't quite that so much as she didn't quite take to motherhood. That's it, that's what Crescendo would say in any case. The cat was always angry at her when she was a kit, cuffing her hard around the ears and hissing at her. It was a pretty bleak life, but Crescendo figured out something pretty awesome because of it.
If you tried you could just pretend things were nice. So she did, she used her imagination and made her mother out to be the best she-cat she ever saw. She pretended that they played and snuggled and that she didn't sometimes shove her away with a fierce hiss when she wanted to suckle. She pretended that her mother didn't whisper that she wasn't worth this, and made things awfully nice for the two of them.
As soon as Crescendo could eat solid food, however, the she-cat hauled her into the middle of nowhere, dumped her there and told her goodbye. Certain that she'd return, Crescendo waited, and continued to wait -- except... well, she didn't come back.
She tried to fend for herself, but she hadn't been quite taught how to hunt. She was starving when an old rogue took pity on her and he taught her how to run and hunt and even fight to defend herself. Then, one day, he just left. Got up and walked away without nary a farewell. That was what Crescendo told cats, the truth is she woke up and pushed her face into his fur and found that he was very cold and still.
The idea that he just left was easier anyways. She didn't even learn his name! Fancy that. On her own for the second time in her life, but with considerable more ability at the tips of her claws, she sought to join the group being grown by a cat named Azreal. why not? It ought to be a lot of fun after all.
