Lies
Lovelie is actually not one individual cat, but really a pair of identical twins. Both cats are, in every sense of the word, identical. It is impossible to tell each cat apart. At least, neither of the two have ever noticed a difference between them and they have spent the past 14 moons in each other's very close company. Lovelie is a blue, tabby point Siamese cat. Her points, characteristic of Siamese cats, are not the classic chocolate brown, but a light grey dusting of fur over her white body. Her small face has faded tabby markings, as well as her front legs and tail. Her nose and the tip of her tail are a dark grey, but her eyes are a very clear, crystalline blue.
Typically Siamese in body, her legs are relatively long and her body is lithe and slim. She walks with grace and soft steps with her dainty paws, as if barely floating above the ground. Her fur is short but dense, giving her a comfortable warmth in the winter. Her pelt is kept noticeably clean in the rough areas of rogue central.
PERSONALITY!Again, as Lovelie is identical in every sense of the word, no one can tell the two cats apart, even in personality. It's almost as if Lovelie herself cannot tell one another apart. As such, she generally introduces herself as one cat and refers to herself in the same way. Occasionally when one of the twins feels the need to address the other, she will call the other "Love" or "Lies" based on her mood, and not at all because of what they might have been at birth. The other will respond with the opposite name. These names are interchangeable between the twins and do not offer any sort of distinction. They are more of pet names if anything. Being that there is no clear distinction of the two, others are generally compliant in referring to her as one cat.
Lovelie generally comes off as very sweet, and not particularly talkative. She isn't a silent cat, but she appears a bit shy, fitting with her dainty appearance. She prefers not to get her fur stained and will leave dirty work to others if she can help it.
Lovelie is first and foremost loyal to her sister. If one already knows about the twins, they will hardly ever see the two separately. Lovelie would much rather spend their time with each other than with another cat. She is very good at understanding her sister and so the company is much easier to deal with than trying to explain herself to another cat.
The only time Love is seen without Lies is when they are being playful or collecting intel. Lovelie loves to play mind games, which she has seen to be effective ever since her kittenhood. Usually, one will approach another cat, using her sweet, delicate charm to befriend the cat, and then confuse with the use of the identical twin. Their way of speaking, scent, appearance, mannerisms, and smiles are all the same, occasionally leading to a mental breakdown of the poor cat involuntarily involved in the mind game.
Whatever happens to one twin, must happen to the other. Since they have spent so much time together, their way of speaking and acting have grown the same, and to keep everything perfect in their sameness, if one thing were to happen to Love, they make sure it happens to Lies. Once in a while, it happens that Love gets injured, and in order to maintain their appearance, they will injure Lies in the same way. Lovelie is clever and a perfectionist, able to make the injury look exactly the same as the original - not a speck of blood out of place.
Lovelie also likes to make use of drugs, namely catnip, to help with her mind games. She has a fascination with mind alterations, and catnip is the most easily available. Lovelie is one of the few cats immune to the effects of catnip and thus occasionally rubs herself in it, especially when meeting a tom.
HISTORY!Lovelie was born to a kittypet mother and a rogue father. The father had just disappeared after the mother had announced her pregnancy, but returned as the mother was kitting. The mother had escaped from her twolegs, a rather uninformed pair who had not spayed their cat, nor bothered to figure out where the weight gain was coming from, believing it to just be food related. However, the mother's pregnancy became complicated, with Lovelie competing to push out at the same time. Their mother was happy when her rogue darling returned, but with her pregnancy complicated, the rogue mercilessly tore her belly open, letting out one still-born kitten and the identical twins, Lovelie. Their nameless father had stayed long enough just to teach them where nice twolegs left milk out for strays, always calling each of them "Lovely" before abandoning them for the next sexy she-cat that prowled by. His current existence or lack thereof is unknown.
On her own, Lovelie figured out that she could trick cats with her double-nature. Oftentimes, rogues were more willing to share with one cute little she-kitten than two of them, so one would always approach a feeding rogue and ask to join. Making use of their environment, the other would drop something heavy to kill or scare off the rogue, leaving just Lovelie to feed. Sometimes, if they were in trouble with a rogue, it was easy to lead them off course. Love would be running away and hide, and Lies would appear somewhere else.
It wasn't until later that Lovelie figured out the more twisted mind games she could play on others, when a cat had fallen in love with Love, without realizing that she was a twin. For fun, Lies had gone out and flirted with the tom's friend, while Love stayed behind with the original tom's family. This led to a brawl with friends and family slain, leaving no dirty work up to Lovelie herself.
RP EXAMPLE!It was nearly sundown and two sets of bright, blue eyes blinked open, pulling the she-cat out of her cat nap. Their tails slowly untwisted from each other's and they both gave a gentle lick on the shoulder. One yawned awake, pulling the other into a yawn of her own. Identical bodies shifted and pulled slightly away from each other. Both felt it was a good nap, and if one felt it, then it must have been so for the other. This shared feeling was recognized and left unmentioned. It was too obvious to speak out loud about.
As they smoothed each other's pelts, a silly rat scattered nearby. One cat gave the other a knowing look. Love had caught a mouse last time; it was Lies's turn to catch a rodent. Lies stood up, slowly and gently, so as not to scare off the rat. Love watched calmly, as her twin sister softly stalked the prey, swiftly and efficiently ending its life. There was no flair to the movement, just simplicity. The she-cat sitting down purred, and commended her sister, "Very nice, Love." Love (or was it Lies?) nodded her thanks, purring in return. She meowed as she placed her food down, "Lovelie can hunt just fine."
The other responded, "Yes, I can."
